How This Recipe Series Was Born


When I started bodybuilding, I was a bit suspicious with the kind of recipes that would add taste to my meals as I would simply cook as simple as I could; such as plain chicken breasts and vegetables in the microwave. Any addition was just something in the way of my physique goals.

I couldn’t have been more wrong than that.

I am not the one to blame. Nutritionists, coachs, and champions would tell you that you can live exclusively on boiled chicken breasts, baked potatoes and broccoli. The motto was, “What do you eat? Chicken and rice, as everybody else”.

To most athletes and fitness buffs it became very boring after a while. That was particularly tough in a pre-contest when diet was superstrict. However, we still keep on cooking the same – or rather, not cooking. The boldest healthy treat I made out back then was a Coke Ice-Crushers – I’d freeze Diet Coke and then crush it. What a dessert! Today’s goal in all these recipes it to make something that is as healthy as possible, without sacrificing nutrients and taste. You’ll enjoy and feel like you’re cheating when you’re eating a perfectly healthy, tasty, nourishing treat or meal.
